• Urgency: Anyone creating false urgency (“act now!”)
• Secret: Telling them to keep the conversation secret
• Payment: Requests for gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency
• Personal Info: Asking for Social Security, Medicare, or bank numbers

Conversations to Have

1. Talk about common scams targeting seniors
2. Set up a family code word for emergencies
3. Agree not to send money to unexpected requests
4. Keep contact info updated for real family members
